π Welcome to Lombard House Hotel
We are committed to providing guests with a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay while visiting Penzance and West Cornwall.
The following Terms & Conditions are designed to help ensure a smooth experience for all guests staying at Lombard House Hotel.
By making a reservation with Lombard House Hotel, guests agree to the following booking terms and accommodation policies.
ποΈ Bookings & Payments
To secure a reservation, a non-refundable deposit equivalent to the first night of each stay may be charged at the time of booking.
For bookings containing multiple stays across different dates, a separate deposit may be taken for each individual stay.
The remaining balance is normally collected automatically 14 days prior to arrival using the payment method provided during booking.
Bookings made within 14 days of arrival may require full payment at the time of booking.
All prices are displayed in GBP (Β£) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
β Cancellations & Amendments
The initial deposit paid at the time of booking is non-refundable.
For reservations longer than one night, cancellations made more than 14 days before arrival will not normally be charged the remaining balance.
Cancellations, amendments or reductions in stay made within 14 days of arrival may be charged in full if the accommodation cannot be re-let.
Guests are encouraged to contact Lombard House Hotel directly as soon as possible if changes to a reservation are required.
We always try to assist where possible.
ποΈ Minimum Stay Requirements
At certain times of the year, selected rooms or dates may be subject to minimum stay requirements.
Where a reservation has been made using a minimum stay rate, reducing the length of the stay after booking may result in the full minimum stay balance remaining payable.
Guests are encouraged to contact Lombard House Hotel directly if changes to a reservation are required and we will always try to assist where possible.
π Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in is available between 3:30pm and 7:00pm unless otherwise arranged in advance.
Guests planning a later arrival are kindly asked to contact Lombard House Hotel before arrival where possible.
Check-out is by 10:00am on the day of departure to allow preparation for arriving guests.
If you are checking out early and nobody is available at reception, please leave your room key inside your room beside the kettle and ensure the bedroom door is securely locked when departing.
π Private Parking
Free private parking is available for one vehicle per room, subject to availability and vehicle size restrictions.
Additional vehicles and extended Isles of Scilly parking may be available by prior arrangement at Β£7.00 per vehicle, per day. As additional spaces are limited, advance booking is recommended where possible.
Vehicles are parked at the ownerβs risk.
π§Ή Room Servicing
Lombard House Hotel offers optional room servicing during guest stays.
Each room includes a convenient door hanger system:
- π’ Green side: Room service requested
- π΄ Red side: Do not disturb
If no hanger is displayed, we will assume guests do not require servicing for that day.
To assist with preparing rooms for arriving guests, room service requests should ideally be indicated before 12:00pm midday.
π§» Towels, Recycling & Environmental Policy
As part of our environmentally conscious approach, guests are encouraged to help reduce unnecessary laundry and water consumption.
In guest bathrooms:
- Towels left in the bath or shower indicate towels should be changed
- Towels hung up indicate towels will be reused
Fresh towels, toiletries and additional toilet rolls are checked during room servicing where required.
We also kindly encourage guests to support our recycling efforts during their stay where possible.
Plastic bottles, paper, cardboard and glass items are easier for us to recycle when separated from general waste rather than placed in bedroom bins.
We greatly appreciate guests helping us reduce unnecessary waste and support environmentally friendly practices at Lombard House Hotel.
π³ Breakfast Information
Lombard House Hotel is an accommodation-only property and no longer offers breakfast on-site.
Many guests enjoy the flexibility of choosing from the excellent range of cafΓ©s, restaurants and breakfast venues located close to the guest house and Penzance seafront.

Free ultrafast unlimited Wi-Fi is available throughout Lombard House Hotel for guest use.
While we aim to provide uninterrupted internet access, availability and speeds may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our control.
π Smoking Policy
Lombard House Hotel is a non-smoking property.
Smoking or vaping inside guest rooms or indoor areas is strictly prohibited and may result in additional cleaning charges.
π Guest Conduct
Guests are respectfully asked to consider other visitors during their stay, particularly during evening and overnight hours.
Lombard House Hotel reserves the right to refuse accommodation or terminate a stay where behaviour is considered unacceptable, disruptive or damaging to the property.

Unless agreed in advance, pets are not permitted within guest accommodation.

βΏ Accessibility Information
Due to the age and layout of the property, some rooms may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
Guests with accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact Lombard House Hotel directly before booking so we can help advise on the most suitable accommodation options.

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay.
Lombard House Hotel cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal items unless caused by proven negligence.
π¦οΈ Travel Disruptions & Ferry Services
Travel services to and from the Isles of Scilly may occasionally be affected by weather conditions or operational changes outside our control.
Guests travelling by ferry or air are encouraged to check directly with their travel provider before departure.
π Isles of Scilly Travellers
Many guests stay at Lombard House Hotel before or after travelling to the Isles of Scilly due to our convenient location close to Penzance Harbour and the Scillonian ferry terminal.
Guests travelling to the Isles of Scilly are encouraged to allow sufficient travel time and check ferry or flight schedules directly with their travel provider.
